    QPS helps automotive engineers to specify the right products in a sustainable world. The steady evolution of the program has enabled many global OEM’s to specify ever-higher performance standards and represents:

    • Approved applicators: Applying these products to a common audited standard ensures the same coating performance throughout the applicator base.
    • High performance: Exceeding the high demands for corrosion resistance and exceptionally consistent torque and tension characteristics.
    • Global consistency: Wherever ZinKlad, DecoKlad or XMAPP standards are applied, applicators know they are using the same high-performance products.

    What do we do?

    We supply and develop QPS standards that meet and exceed OEM specifications. We validate applicators processes by conducting audits, carrying out inspections and testing the production output to make sure they meet pre-defined QPS standards and agreed technical requirements.

    We monitor and report results on a global scale to be able to service and continuously improve performance.

Anodizing

From roof rails, trims, frames, electronic housing, brake calipers, and heat sinks as used in combustion, hybrid, and fully electrical vehicles, we partner with you to understand the specific requirements of each project to deliver the industry’s most functional and protective coating.

SUVs and aluminum

Vehicles are mostly sold on content, it’s a consumer product. At the moment the SUVs are immensely popular vehicles. These larger cars require additional lightweight considerations when compared to smaller cars.

For SUVs and pick-ups, there is a trend towards using aluminum brake calipers instead of cast iron. The aluminum brake calipers are often anodized to provide additional corrosion and wear resistance as well as uniform color (red, black, yellow, blue) to meet automotive specifications.

Anodizing

Anodizing aluminum extrusions for car exteriors creates a dirt-repellent surface and improves corrosion resistance. It provides a surface with electrically insulated coating and is available in different colors.

High-end aluminum exterior components for the roof rails, frames and trims are growing more popular as they provide a lightweight smooth surface that is pleasant to the touch.
