    QPS helps automotive engineers to specify the right products in a sustainable world. The steady evolution of the program has enabled many global OEM’s to specify ever-higher performance standards and represents:

    • Approved applicators: Applying these products to a common audited standard ensures the same coating performance throughout the applicator base.
    • High performance: Exceeding the high demands for corrosion resistance and exceptionally consistent torque and tension characteristics.
    • Global consistency: Wherever ZinKlad, DecoKlad or XMAPP standards are applied, applicators know they are using the same high-performance products.

    What do we do?

    We supply and develop QPS standards that meet and exceed OEM specifications. We validate applicators processes by conducting audits, carrying out inspections and testing the production output to make sure they meet pre-defined QPS standards and agreed technical requirements.

    We monitor and report results on a global scale to be able to service and continuously improve performance.

Satin finishes and dark chromium have become highly desirable finishes for many automotive companies and continue to gain popularity as stylists seek to differentiate designs and brands.

Our decorative and fashion finishes guide contains the latest automotive specifications. The guide contains over 120 global plated color standards. It demonstrates which processes meet the latest design satin and dark chromium trends. 

Satin nickel

The satin layer uniformly scatters any light falling on its surface. The ELPELYT PEARLBRITE satin effect can be adjusted from a fine sheen to a heavier matte finish.

ELPELYT PEARLBRITE nickels consistently meet the demanding performance requirements of the world’s leading OEMs. The exceptional corrosion resistance provided by both systems in conjunction with multilayer nickel and chromium enable the coating to withstand extreme conditions, both inside and out of the vehicle.

Dark chromium finishes

Deposited from trivalent chromium solutions, range from a smokey type appearance through to an almost black finish. 

TRILYTE® Flash SF Bright-white deposit. Replaces hexavlent chromium solutions. Preferred process for use on door handles, grills and exterior trim. 
TRILYTE® Flash CL Bright-white deposit which passes both automotive CASS and Russian Mud tests.
Twilite Dark chromium finish for interior and exterior applications. Passes both automotive CASS and Russian Mud tests.
Starlite Dark chromium finish which does not require a lacquer topcoat.
TriMac ECLIPSE Very dark chromium finish whichs meets automotive requirements.
